Vocalist opportunity: Rise Up seeks a female* lead vocalist for our 2022 season. BIPOC vocalists especially encouraged.

*Open to vocalist of any gender identity able to perform parts that are traditionally female

Rise Up is a Seattle-based band featuring top vocalists and musicians that plays the music of Hamilton and Broadway. Rise Up has performed throughout the Pacific Northwest at top venues including Benaroya Hall (Seattle), Washington Center for the Performing Arts (Olympia), The Triple Door (Seattle), Rialto Theater (Tacoma), Alberta Rose Theater (Portland), and many more. Rise Up was runner up for Seattle Weekly’s 2018 Best of Seattle Best New Musical Act, and named Kirkland Performance Center’s 2019 Artist of the Year. Pictures. Past shows.

Rise Up has an opportunity for a strong female* vocalist able to sing a variety of Broadway leads. You will have the lead part on a number of songs, as well as some shared leads and ensemble work. Commitment is for calendar year 2022, with approximately one show a month in top venues in PNW. Shows are paid. Weekly 2 hr rehearsal now through end of 2021 to get up and running; subsequent rehearsal schedule TBD. We are especially interested in hearing from BIPOC vocalists.
